SHIPPING POLICY

This policy covers ready-to-ship merchandise, birds sent to TRUEWILD for custom work, completed taxidermy and feather art, and local drop-off or pickup.

1. MERCHANDISE PROCESSING

In-stock merchandise typically leaves our shop within 1–2 business days after payment is confirmed. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Processing time is separate from carrier delivery time.

Available shipping services and charges are shown at checkout. Tracking information is emailed when the order ships.

2. DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Carrier delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed by TRUEWILD. Weather, holidays, carrier volume, service interruptions, and other circumstances outside our control may cause delays.

Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address. Contact us immediately if an address needs to be corrected. We cannot guarantee changes after an order has entered fulfillment.

If tracking shows a shipment as delivered but it cannot be located, check the delivery area, household members, neighbors, and the carrier before contacting TRUEWILD. Contact us promptly if a package appears lost, damaged, or misdelivered so we can help review the available options.

3. SHIPPING A BIRD TO TRUEWILD

Never ship a bird without contacting TRUEWILD and receiving approval and current instructions. Requirements can change based on species, project type, weather, carrier timing, and our ability to receive the package immediately.

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping birds to TRUEWILD. Unless we provide different written instructions:

- Freeze the bird completely solid before packing.
- Use an insulated cooler or well-insulated box with frozen gel packs.
- Place the insulated package inside a sturdy outer cardboard box.
- Prevent movement inside the package.
- Use UPS or FedEx.
- Ship early in the week; Monday is preferred.
- Use the service level recommended by TRUEWILD for current conditions.
- Send tracking information as soon as the package is accepted by the carrier.

Birds received thawed, leaking, improperly packaged, materially damaged, or without required information may be refused or may produce a reduced-quality finished result.

4. REQUIRED HARVEST AND POSSESSION INFORMATION

The customer is responsible for ensuring every bird was legally harvested, possessed, transferred, and shipped. Each migratory bird, including ducks and geese, must have its own completed federal possession tag and required hunter and harvest information. Turkey and other regulated wildlife must include all applicable state or federal harvest documentation.

TRUEWILD may refuse any specimen that lacks required documentation or that we reasonably believe cannot lawfully be accepted.

5. RETURN SHIPPING FOR COMPLETED CUSTOM WORK

The customer pays return shipping for completed taxidermy mounts and feather art unless TRUEWILD agrees otherwise in writing. Packing, insurance, special handling, oversized charges, and carrier costs may be added to the final invoice.

The full remaining balance must be paid before a completed project is released for pickup or shipment. We will confirm the shipping address and method before sending the finished piece.

6. LOCAL DROP-OFF AND PICKUP

Local drop-off and pickup are available by appointment at:

TRUEWILD Featherworks, LLC
1050 County Road 157
Fremont, Ohio 43420

Contact us before arriving so we can arrange a time.

Completed projects should be picked up within 30 days after notification. After 30 days, a $25 per week storage fee applies until pickup or shipping arrangements are completed.

7. DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

Inspect packages immediately. If merchandise or a completed custom project arrives damaged, contact TRUEWILD as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after delivery. Keep the original packaging, shipping label, and all internal materials. Photographs and carrier documentation may be required.
